From August 2023, Ukrainian Railways (UZ) will increase the fee rates for the use of its own semi-railcars by 7.7% compared to the previous month – up to UAH 1.4 thousand/day. This is evidenced by data on the website of the UZ’s Transport Logistics Center (TLC) branch.
Fee rates for the use of own pellet carriers in August will not change compared to July, and will amount to UAH 450/day.
According to TLC, in August the rate for a grain truck will increase by 33.3% m/m – up to UAH 400/day, universal platform, converted and modernized platform of types 915,968, 969 will cost UAH 3,800/day compared to UAH 4,000 in July (-5 m/m). Charge rate for using a covered railcar will decrease by 10.8% m/m – to UAH 1,389/day.
Ukrainian Railways in July 2023 lowered rates fees for the use of own semi-railcars by 10.3% compared to the previous month – to UAH 1.3 thousand/day. Rates for pellet carriers remained at the level of June – UAH 450/day.
As GMK Center reported earlier, UZ in June 2023 reduced export transportation of ferrous metals by 19.9% compared to May 2023 – to 378,000 tons. Compared to June 2022, the indicator increased by 18.1%. In January-June 2023, UZ reduced export transportation of ferrous metals by 62.2% compared to the same period in 2022 – to 2.32 million tons. Export transportation of iron and manganese ore during June 2023 increased by 3.8% compared to May, and decreased by 7.4% compared to June last year – to 1.43 million tons.
