Today, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted draft law N7420 about customs visa exemption. It involves simplified access of Ukrainian products to the EU market. Danylo Hetmantsev, the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on finance, tax and customs policy, reported about it on his Telegram.

“The project provides the introduction of European practices in the implementation of customs affairs in Ukraine, in the preparation of national legislation for the implementation of organizational procedures for the accession of Ukraine to the Convention on the Common Transit Procedure of May 20, 1987 and the participation of Ukraine in the New Computerized Transit System, which is used by the contracting parties of the Convention “, the message says.

It is expected that customs visa-free will work from October 1.

Earlier, GMK Center reported, that at the end of June the Verkhovna Rada approved this bill is in the first reading. The document also refers the rules for obtaining the status of a financial guarantor, ensuring the payment of customs payments, obtaining authorization to apply the simplifications general guarantee, exemption from guarantee, etc.

At the same time, the Verkhovna Rada voted for the draft law No. 7418 on the return of customs tariffs and VAT on imported goods, including cars, from July 1, 2022. At the beginning of April, the law with amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine No. 2142-IX (passed in the Council as No. 7190) on preferential imports during the war entered into force.
