The company has become a financial partner of Veteran PRO. Zaporizhzhia hub and develops the veteran ecosystem

A multifunctional space Missile Veteran PRO. Zaporizhzhia, a hub that will provide comprehensive support to the military, their families and families of fallen defenders. The space was created at the initiative of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, the city council and with the financial support of Metinvest Group, Zaporizhstal said in a press release.

The official opening took place during a visit by Natalia Kalmykova, Minister of Veterans Affairs. The event was also attended by Hero of Ukraine Serhiy Volynskyi, Head of Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration Ivan Fedorov, local authorities and Metinvest’s Chief Operating Officer Oleksandr Myronenko.

The hub has brought together specialists from the ASC, the Pension Fund, the employment center, psychologists and lawyers. Here, veterans will be able to receive the necessary services quickly and conveniently. The space is set up in a historic building in the center of Zaporizhzhia, which has been renovated in compliance with the principles of barrier-free accessibility.

“Veteran-centeredness and true respect for heroes should be manifested in real actions. “Metinvest systematically supports initiatives for veterans, as more than a thousand of our employees have already returned from the frontline to peaceful life,” said Alexander Mironenko.

The company integrates its veterans’ policy into all business processes and joins new social projects in the regions where it operates. In particular, it financed the memorial installation “Tree of Memory,” which became a place of honor for the fallen defenders of Ukraine.

The façade of the new hub features a “Flag of Hope” – a symbol of support for Ukrainians who are in captivity or missing.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Ukraine’s first underground hospital, built by Metinvest Group at a depth of six meters near the front line, has already saved the lives of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers. The unique 500-square-meter facility is self-contained and has a laboratory, intensive care unit, operating rooms, recreation areas and even a kitchen. Two more are scheduled to open in May and June.
