In January-March 2022, the largest private freight operator in Ukraine, Lemtrans, paid UAH 159.51 million of taxes and fees to the budgets of various levels, the company’s press service reported on its Facebook.

“We have been living in a new reality for more than two months. We work and we believe, getting close to victory step we are,” the statement reads.

GMK Center reported that earlier Lemtrans donated 20 million UAH to support Ukrainian military via National Bank of Ukraine’s special account. In addition, the company sent over UAH 650,000 to the Territorial Defense forces.

In mid-March, it became known that the company’s car depot in Volnovakha had been completely destroyed by enemy shelling and fires.

Lemtrans is the largest private rail freight operator in Ukraine. In 2021, the company reduced the rail transportation of iron ore by 60.3% compared to 2020, to 9.79 million tons.
