Since the beginning of the war, the company has already handed over 150 cars for the needs of the defenders of Ukraine
The Command of the Joint Forces Corps, Air Assault Troops and the 38th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received ten new Mitsubishi L200 pickup trucks from Ferrexpo to help defend the country. In total, Ferrexpo allocated UAH 14 million for these vehicles, each for UAH 1.4 million.
This was reported by the company’s press service.
The military, who received the new vehicles, noted that the pickup trucks provide confidence in reliability and task performance. Therefore, the vehicles will be used to perform work of varying complexity at the front and in the rear. Among the tasks for which the vehicles will be useful, the military mentioned the transportation of personnel, logistics of humanitarian supplies and evacuation of the wounded.
«Our unit already has similar vehicles in use. They have proven themselves well, they do not break down. There are some that were donated by volunteers and some that are a bit older. But they all work very well and perform combat missions. So I hope that these vehicles will serve us well, too,” soldier Oleksandr told reporters.
Ukraine’s defenders presented Ferrexpo representatives with certificates and flags of their military units as a sign of gratitude for their continued support.
«To overcome the humanitarian crisis, Ferrexpo’s enterprises have provided hundreds of tons of food, medicines, dozens of units of utility equipment and thousands of electronic equipment. In total, over the past two years, the company has allocated more than UAH 970 million to provide humanitarian aid to Ukrainians in 12 regions and the national defense forces,” said Viktor Lotous, Chairman of the Board of Poltava Mining and Processing Plant, a member of Ferrexpo Group.
The executive emphasized that the company has been providing humanitarian support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine since 2014. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ferrexpo has already donated more than 150 vehicles to the Ukrainian defense.
The military emphasizes that this support is a significant contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
As GMK Center reported earlier, Ferrexpo has allocated UAH 946.5 million for humanitarian support to Ukraine since the beginning of the war.
