Centravis Production Ukraine (Centravis) is one of Europe’s largest manufacturers of seamless stainless pipes for engineering, oil & gas, aircraft and power industries.

The company produces more than 1,000 pipe sizes of more than 100 types of corrosion-resistant and heat-resistant steel grades. Its customers include Thyssenkrupp, BMW, Alstom, Linde, Samsung, Volkswagen.

Centravis is among top 10 world’s largest exporters of seamless stainless pipes: it ranks 1st in the CIS, 4th in Europe, and 9th in the world.

According to Centravis, the company holds a 15% share in the EU market and 3.6% in the global market.

Key facts

2021

Centravis intends to increase supplies for the aviation and space industry.

Centravis has won a contract for the supply of over 3.3 thousand m of seamless stainless steel pipes for premium exhaust systems from the Slovenian company Akrapovič.

Centravis announces that orderbook for 2021 is filled. In 2021, the company intends to reduce production by 10%.

Centravis company will get € 35 million from the state-owned Ukreximbank to finance its investment program.

Centravis intends to allocate up to € 10 million for modernization in 2021.

2020

Centravis received a permit to supply stainless steel tool pipes for Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) in Oman.

Centravis launched production of cold-formed pipes for the automotive industry.

2019

According to the company’s top management, the 2019 investment program is worth $10 million.

Until 2018

The EBRD held a 12.2% stake in the company. According to the media, this stake was aquaired in 2011 through investing $10 million in the company’s capital.

In 2017

The company’s management said in a commentary to the media that the capacity utilization rate of Centravis was 100%, however, the potential for increasing annual production remains at the level of 10-15% due to the elimination of weak points.

In 2007–2017

The company invested $130 million in the upgrade and purchase of equipment and technological improvement.

2018–2020

Centravis is currently implementing the 2018–2022 Strategy, with a focus on developing sales of high value-added products, expanding markets, and advancing technologies. The company sees the development of sales of high value-added products as production of new high-tech types of pipes with additional requirements for accuracy, geometry, length, and surface treatment. The sales market expansion means potential export to North America, Asia and countries of the Middle East.

From 2014 to 2017

The company reoriented its exports from Russia, the share of which was 80%, towards the EU.
