Increased EU tariffs on Russian and Belarusian agricultural products come into force on July 1

Market participants are particularly concerned about the proposal to limit the use of the quota for other countries for hot-rolled steel

The decision includes the suspension of tariffs on steel products from Ukraine that undergo further processing in the EU

A 15 percent restriction on imports of hot-rolled coils and wire rod under the remaining quarterly quota is also introduced

During this period, steel exports decreased by 11.3% y/y

The import of rolled steel for the month increased by 4.5% m/m

The industry association called on the authorities to take measures similar to the American ones

In April, revenues amounted to $207.26 million

The import of steel products during this period decreased by 3.7% y/y

The main part of the import fell on long-rolled goods – 112.33 thousand tons

The import of rolled products increased by 20% y/y, in particular flat – by 33% y/y, and graded decreased by 15% y/y

The total import of steel for the month increased by 1.6% m/m
