Ukraine increased pipes exports by 39% in July

In July 2021, Ukraine increased pipes exports by 39.2% to 65.9 thousand tons compared to July 2020. In monetary terms, pipes exports increased by 79.5% to $88.9 million, according to the customs statistics.

In January–July, pipe companies increased exports of their products by 17.4%, to 331.2 thousand tons against the same period in 2020, and revenues from pipes exports grew by 21.4% to $389.7 million.

In 7M, the share of seamless pipes in Ukraine’s exports was the largest and accounted for 250.7 thousand tons worth $315.3 million. In addition, Ukraine sold 77.6 thousand tons of other pipes and tubes worth $69.5 million.

The main export markets for Ukraine-made seamless pipes and tubes were Germany, the U.S. and Russia. Poland bought more than a half of other pipes and tunes and hollow sections.

As reported earlier, in 2020, Ukraine’s pipes export revenues decreased by 22% to $521.9 million against 2019. In physical terms, exports dropped by 22.8% to 473.1 thousand tons.

The main producers of pipes in Ukraine are Interpipe NIKO TUBE LLC, Interpipe NTRP, DMZ Kominmet, Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol, Interpipe NMPP, Trubostal, Centravis, Dnipropetrovsk Pipe Plant and Slavsant.
