Ukraine exported $190.1 million worth of raw materials in July

In July, Ukraine exported ores and iron ore concentrates worth $190.1 million. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture. In terms of volume, exports of this product during the specified period amounted to 3 million t.

In total, according to the results of the previous month, Ukraine exported goods to foreign markets worth over $3.3 billion (+5.4% compared to June).

«The main export category of Ukraine remains agricultural and food industry products. In July, they reached $1.7 billion, which is more than half of the total exports. Iron ore, certain types of engineering products, and metallurgy also account for a significant share of exports», the statement noted.

In terms of volumes, the country exported 8.2 million t of goods last month, of which 3.5 million t were agricultural products. In addition, during this period the physical volumes of goods transported by sea and road transport increased (+7.1% and +4.4% compared to June, respectively), while rail shipments decreased (-1.5% m/m).

The key trading partner for Ukraine remains the EU. Last month, goods worth $1.9 billion were exported to bloc countries (+10.1% compared to the previous month). As for other destinations, the largest consumers of Ukrainian exports in July were China ($212.4 million), Turkey ($149.2 million), India ($140.8 million), Egypt ($110.9 million), and Moldova ($100.3 million).

It should be recalled that Ukraine’s trade turnover for January–July 2025 amounted to $69.1 billion, according to data from the State Customs Service. During the period, Ukraine imported goods worth $45.9 billion and exported $23.2 billion. At the same time, taxable imports amounted to $34.7 billion, representing 76% of the total volume of imported goods.
