Metinvest’s Zaporizhzhia enterprises paid UAH 4 billion in taxes in 2025

Metinvest Group’s Zaporizhstal, Zaporizhvognetryv, Zaporizhcoke, and Zaporizhzhia Foundry and Mechanical Plant – transferred nearly UAH 4 billion in taxes and fees to budgets of all levels in 2025, which is 34% more than in the same period last year. This is stated in the company’s press release.

Metinvest’s enterprises remain among the largest taxpayers in Zaporizhzhia. The lion’s share of deductions consists of single social security contributions and personal income tax, environmental tax, and military tax.

In April 2025, the company raised salaries for employees of production and service enterprises, including in Zaporizhzhia, by up to 20%, which further increased the tax revenue base from enterprises.

«The taxes paid by our enterprises today are a real resource for the strength of the state and local communities. During the full-scale war, Metinvest’s Zaporizhzhia enterprises have contributed more than UAH 11.6 billion in taxes to the state treasury. These revenues make it possible to maintain the city’s social infrastructure, which ensures the functioning of Zaporizhzhia despite the proximity of the front line, constant enemy attacks, and the losses they entail. In wartime, paying taxes is not a formality, but a direct contribution to the country’s stability, its ability to survive today and recover,» emphasized Taras Shevchenko, acting CEO of Zaporizhstal.

As reported by GMK Center, Metinvest paid UAH 18.7 billion in taxes and fees to budgets of all levels in Ukraine in 2025. The largest amount of deductions was the subsoil use fee in the amount of UAH 4.6 billion. In second place was UAH 3.5 billion in unified social tax (UST), and in third place was UAH 3.2 billion in personal income tax (PIT).
