Metinvest handed over 10 thermal imaging sights to the GUR fighters

Metinvest Group has handed over ten professional Brolis thermal imaging scopes to the military of Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. The total cost of the equipment donated as part of the Steel Front military initiative is UAH 3.5 million. This is stated in the company’s press release.

«On the way to victory, Metinvest continues to strengthen the defense capabilities of the Ukrainian army and systematically supplies modern equipment to the frontline. Another batch was delivered to the Main Intelligence Directorate, which received ten professional thermal imaging sights from Lithuanian producer Brolis. They can be mounted on machine guns and large-caliber sniper rifles. Such equipment is in service in NATO countries,» the report says.

Brolis sights are respected by soldiers for their reliability, sensitivity and high quality: the range of their use is 2.7 km for detection, 1.4 km for recognition and 1 km for identification. In addition, they can easily withstand cold, water and heat.

«Another batch of modern equipment – ten Brolis thermal imaging scopes – has been delivered to various DIU units performing combat missions in the hottest regions of our country. This is not the first time that the scouts have received assistance with military optics from the Steel Front. On the way to victory, we will support our defenders as long as necessary,» the head of the company’s project office Oleksandr Vodoviz said.

The founder of the Brolis Group emphasized that these sights are not sold to Russia – this is the manufacturer’s principled position. Therefore, such equipment is currently in service with NATO countries and Ukraine. Metinvest, in turn, works directly with manufacturers.

As GMK Center reported earlier, Metinvest has been systematically supporting both the government and the military since the beginning of the war in Ukraine. Over this period, UAH 4.2 billion has been allocated for military and civilian needs. More than UAH 2 billion was allocated to support the Ukrainian army.
