Interpipe shipped 300 tons of pipes for bridge construction in Germany

Ukrainian industrial company Interpipe is expanding its presence in European bridge construction and joining a new infrastructure project in Germany. The company has supplied pipe products for the construction of a bridge over the Saale River, which will be part of a new bypass on the A143 motorway near Halle, the company said.

For this project, Interpipe shipped 300 tons of construction pipes with a diameter of 219 mm, manufactured in accordance with European standards. The delivery was another confirmation of the company’s expertise in the field of pipe solutions for complex projects. Interpipe has previously participated in the construction of a railway bridge in Slovakia and a suspension bridge across the Izmit Bay in Turkey, one of the longest in Europe. Thus, cooperation with German partners has become a continuation of consistent work in the EU market.

«Germany, as the largest economy in the European Union, depends on reliable transit routes. Most of the local railway and road bridges were built more than 40-50 years ago and require thorough reconstruction or rebuilding. Projects are currently being developed as part of the German government’s road reconstruction plan, some of which are being led by our key customers in Germany, so we hope to join them with our products,» said Marcel Schmitz, Interpipe’s sales manager for pipes in European markets.

It should be noted that Interpipe recently announced the completion of the supply of line pipes for a promising energy project specializing in the production of second-generation biodiesel in southern Spain. In particular, the company shipped 350 tons of pipes with diameters ranging from 203.2 mm to 355.6 mm, which comply with the ASTM A-106 GR 6 standard.

According to Interpipe CEO Luca Zanotti, the company has all the prerequisites for global scaling and becoming truly international.

Over the past 10 years, the company has undergone a remarkable transformation in terms of market diversification. Currently, its products are supplied to more than 80 countries, with a focus on Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
