Ferrexpo spent more than ₴21.5 million to help hospitals

Companies of the Ferrexpo Group continue to help medical workers of the region of its presence, sending them equipment and medicines. Aid was provided by Poltava Mining, Yeristovo Mining and Belanivskyi Mining, as well as by FC Vorskla. The Ferrexpo Group spent more than ₴21.5 million as yet to provide medical staff with everything necessary, according to the Company’s press service.

Among aid recipients is Gorishni Plavni City Hospital, which received medical products and medicines worth over ₴1.5 million, in particular systems for intravenous injections, ventilator breathing systems, medicines, etc.

Belanivskyi Mining sent the first batch of aid to medical staff of Kremenchuk Intensive Care Hospital. It donated syringes, needles, drip sets, disposable medical containers and tubes, personal protective equipment and other consumables.

In turn, FC Vorskla handed over the next batch of medical equipment and medicines to Poltava Regional Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital. Since the start of quarantine, necessary medical goods in large quantities have been supplied twice, including uMEC series patient monitors, Benefusion VP1 infusion pumps, polyurethane-silicone gloves, FFP3 masks, etc.

The Ferrexpo Group continues to monitor the situation, receive requests from medical workers and promptly meet their needs.

“We keep constant contact with health care facilities and promptly respond to their requests,” says Viacheslav Miniazev, Director of Ferrexpo Poltava Mining Charity Fund.

As reported earlier, the Ferrexpo Corporation earmarked $2.5 million to health care facilities to combat the epidemic of coronavirus in Poltava oblast and throughout Ukraine. The allocated funds were spent to purchase ventilators, coronavirus tests and other necessary equipment.
