Dniprovagonmash produced more than 600 freight railcars in 2022

In 2022, the wagon-building enterprise Dniprovagonmash increased the production of freight railcars by 35% compared to 2021 – up to 635 units. Rail.Insider reports about it.

The company’s profit for the past year reached UAH 32.7 million, and revenue – UAH 1.1 billion.

Earlier, the TAS group, which includes Dniprovagonmash, acquired 40% of the shares of the Austrian company TransAnt GmbH, which is a developer of innovative freight railcars. Since February 2022, the plant has been producing the main components for modular wagons. The day before, the enterprise received international certification.

As GMK Center reported earlier, in January-September 2022 consolidated net income of enterprise reached UAH 1.11 billion compared to UAH 528.1 million for the same period in 2021. Gross profit for this period amounted to UAH 154.64 million compared to a loss of UAH 4.98 million in January-September 2021.

Also, in 2021, Ukrainian wagon-building enterprise reduced the production of freight rolling stock by 31.2% compared to 2020 – to 1,948 units. Dniprovagonmash took the second place in terms of the volume of wagon production with an indicator of 461 units. The largest producer of railcars in Ukraine in 2021 was the Kryukiv Wagon Building Plant – 1,013 units.
