According to the website of Dniprospetsstal, in June, the company reduced steel production by 10.8% compared to the previous month, down to 16.4 thousand tons.
Production of rolled products in June dropped by 7.6%, down to 12.6 thousand tons, compared to May.
In June again, production of marketable products in monetary terms dropped by 14.5%, down to UAH 662.9 million, compared to the previous month.
Over the first six months of the year, the company reduced production of steel by 15.8%, down to 107.2 thousand tons, rolled products — by 13.2%, down to 74.1 thousand tons compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the period January to June, production of marketable products in monetary terms dropped by 12%, down to UAH 4.3 billion, compared to the same period in 2018.
The company has demonstrated a negative profit margin over the first six months of the current year.
Dniprospetsstal is the only manufacturer of long stainless steel products in Ukraine. The company produces long and forged products of stainless, tool, high-speed, bearing, structural steel as well as heat-resistant nickel alloys. Dniprospetsstal exports its products to 60 countries all over the world.
74.6% of the company’s shares are owned by three Cyprus companies: Wenox Holdings Ltd (47.1%), Gazaro Ltd (16.5%) and Boundryco Ltd (11%). According to the media, the company has ties with the Privat Group.
As reported earlier, Dniprospetsstal reduced steel production by 11% in May, down to 18.4 thousand tons, while in April, the increase in production was 2.2%.
