Automotive production in Ukraine fell 58% in October

According to Ukrautoprom sectoral association, in October 2021, production of vehicles in Ukraine fell by 58% to 292 units compared to the same period a year earlier. Domestic manufacturers produced 202 passenger cars (three times fewer), 3 commercial vehicles (-25%) and 87 buses (+13%).

Production of vehicles decreased by 68% against the previous month.

In 10M, production of vehicles totaled 7,002 units, 85% up from the same period of the previous year.

The number of passenger cars produced in 10M 2021 was 6,337 units, 97% up from 10M 2020. Production of buses rose by 17% to 638 units, while production of commercial vehicles fell by 25% to 27 units.

As reported earlier, in September, Ukraine produced 909 vehicles, 64% more than in August and 6% more than in the same period of the previous year. Automotive production grew by a factor of 2.2 to 6,710 units in 9M.
