2020

Zaporizhzhia Coke Plant invested ₴90 million in the overhaul of the coke oven battery No. 6 to restore its design characteristics, improve product quality, and reduce negative environmental impacts.

Zaporizhkoks completed the modernization of coke oven batteries No. 5 and No. 6 worth UAH 139 million.

2019

In 2019, Zaporizhzhia Coke Plant invested ₴348.6 million in production modernization. Specifically, in November 2019, the plant partially switched to compressed air supply from Zaporizhstal, which allows saving around ₴3.1 million per annum.

Zaporizhzhia Coke Plant invested ₴152 million in a new line for electrode pitch granulation. The line helps utilize up to 99.5% of the exhaust vapors, thus minimizing its negative environmental impacts. In addition, the launch of a new line will allow switching from production of liquid pitch to granular pitch and double its output.

2018

Zaporizhzhia Coke Plant is implementing an energy efficiency program. Specifically, in 2018, a checkrow disconnection scheme was applied to vertical channels of coke oven batteries. This reduced the annual gas consumption by 2 million cubic meters, with UAH 41 million cost advantage.

2017-2021

Zaporizhzhia Coke Plant is overhauling the coke oven batteries No. 5 and No. 6, with the annual capacity of 720 thousand tons. The overhaul works, scheduled for 2017–2021, are being performed without production idle. The program budget is UAH 250 million.
