Since September 2023, almost 179 million tons of cargo have been transported through the Ukrainian maritime corridor
Since the beginning of 2026, Ukrainian seaports have already handled more than 15 million tons of cargo. This is stated in a report by the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
The main volume of transshipment is provided by the ports of Greater Odessa – 14.5 million tons since the beginning of this year (8.5 million tons of which was grain exports).
The Danube ports handled 1.1 million tons of cargo during this period, 221,000 tons of which was grain.
In total, since September 2023, almost 179 million tons of cargo have been transported through the Ukrainian maritime corridor, 107 million tons of which were grain, and 7,087 ships have been handled during this time.
As noted by the ministry, the enemy is systematically attacking port infrastructure — since the start of the full-scale invasion, 726 port infrastructure facilities and 153 civilian vessels have been damaged or partially destroyed. Since the beginning of this year alone, 63 port infrastructure facilities and 7 civilian vessels have been damaged.
«Despite this, Ukrainian ports continue to operate, ensuring stable cargo transshipment and supporting the state’s economy and global supply chains,» the ministry said in a statement.
It should be recalled that Ukraine’s seaports handled 82.2 million tons of cargo in 2025. The planned cargo turnover for last year was 86.2 million tons, with the actual result exceeding 95% of the plan. The forecast cargo turnover (81.77 million tons) was exceeded by 100.5%. More than half (53.7% of the total transshipment volume) last year was agricultural products – 44.2 million tons.
